Default Well blow my HG damn! looking to buy a 1jzget or 2jzget asap.

Just got the call from the race shop and said my hg is blown. so now i need a motor. i have a 93 sc300 with a 1jzget twin turbo in it. looking for a good motor and ecu. please help. i am in ga and my car is in South dakota

its a gTe. Why dont you replace the gasket instead of the whole motor? If you just blew the head gasket, just deck the block and mill the head and youre good to go... unless you did some damage to internals.

Well if you have a stock 2jzge then yeah it'll be a good time to upgrade

But if your motor is already swap its best to just do it yourself.

You can try checking e-bay and motor importers but most of them are junk. The good ones you HAVE to wait for months.

Everybody I've talked too recommends J spec auto in VA but id just do what tpham86 said an fix yours $100-200 head shave n put studs an good gasket no probs cheaper an better

i will call them back and check if the inside are toast. but the leak down test when the car was cold was good.

their is coolent coming from the seems of the rad when heated up. but the oil still looks good. and idles fine. are they just trying to make some big money off me or what?

Thats what it sounds like an if no oil in water headgasket is not completely blown add a radiator to list stated above an if leakdown test good so is headgasket, prob take it to diff shop I work on all of my own cuz I dont trust garages an Im a mechanic an if anyone is gonna touch my car Ill take off work an watch them while the tune or whatever their doin. Do you not know any local shops you could take it to? They prob want you to get new motor an they keep old one
