Damn I wish this was 30-6101 for a 97 I would have bought it in a heartbeat. Great price.

Does anyone know if the ecu plugs are the same for a ge non vvti (92'-97') and ge vvti (98'-01')? I'm trying to verify that now through Dezod. If so and the pin outs are pretty much the same, this AEM v2 will work for the early model sc300's as well. You just wouldn't have control of vvti but you also don't have vvti.

the ECU plugs are not the same they are different. that's why the AEM 30-1100/1101 and 6100/6101 will only plug in the 92-97 harnesses.
It will not work with any SC 92-97

It will work great with any SC 92-97
Thanks for the info. After going to my local Lexus dealership and getting the ecu pin out, you are absolutely correct. This will NOT work for a non vvti ecu.

the 98+ SC300 ecu is completely different from the 92-97; it's pretty much the exact same ecu as the IS300.
98+ is much more complex (read as: pain in the ***)
and IIRC, this kit the OP allows you to keep the factory ECU in the car and keep all the OBD2/alarm/etc crap the stock ECU controls
good deal.

What is the Part # on that ECU? it looks like a Honda box with a modified harness to work on IS300.
I don't think it will be PNP to you Setup.
