have a 98+ gated shifter with bezel and shorter shifter linkage that I have installed on my 97 sc. I cut the connectors off my old shifter so I can make it plug and play. Not sure of the connector are the same for 96 and below but everything works. You would need to wire the ect switch and the light for headlight. I do not have the factory shift **** to go with it. If you have any question let me know. Thanks

Very interested. I have a 97 also. When you say plug and play do you mean that it will plug into my existing connectors and all I'll have to do is install linkage ? Where in Texas are you, I'm in Conroe.

Yea I took the connectors from my stock shifter and cut the connector off the 98+ gated shifter and wired the 97 connector to the gated shifter. That's what I meant by it being plug and play. The ECT and the night time light is the only thing you would have to wire up.
