FS: Carbing Strut Tower Bar
Selling my beautiful and rare Carbing Type 1 strut tower bar. Made in Japan using quality light-weight aluminum. Machine welded. Has a Master-Cylinder stopper! Made for the Supra but fits perfectly on SC's.
There's been some debate on the forum whether it fits over the 98-00 SC400 engine cover, as you can see in the pictures it clearly does. It does however require washers to be installed to allow the 1-2 millimeters for clearance (might fit without the washers if the engine cover is removed).
The bar is in excellent condition, except for a few wear marks from the engine-cover on the bottom side (you cant see when installed), and some light wear marks on the top (as per pictures). I'm sure it can be buffed to look like new.
I never raced with the car, so the bar was never stressed or anything. Best feature about the bar is the master-cylinder stopper, which gives a noticeable stiffer break-pedal feel under any (heavy or light) breaking.
Included will be:
- 1 Strut Tower Bar
- 6 washers
- 1 set of instructions
- 1 Carbing sticker
MSRP is $449. Mvp Motorsport website has it for $405 (plus tax and shipping, etc). It took me 3+ months to receive it when I ordered it from MVP last year.

This bar weighs an incredibly light 3.25 pounds!

According to the pics on the MVP website it fits over a GTE, so I'm assuming it'll fit over the smaller NA. Although the pics are a Supra..
Do some searching on the forums here, and you'll find out. I'm 90% sure it does though.

it will fit as i have this same bar even before i went ffim on my na-t ... the master cyl stopper works 100% in eliminating movement of master cyl because of firewall flex . this movement is more pronounced when you have a bbk like mine as the brake trq these racing brakes generate is immense
