I'm looking for a complete 5 speed swap for Sc400? 350Z, W58 or R154. Looking for everything. Pedals, tranny shaft etc. I'll even buy the kit if you have it. Tranny MUST be in perfect shape. Low mileage tranny preferred. I'd prefer if it has never have seen boost!
Preferably not too far from NYC.

Man your going hard this year! What tranny are you looking to get? I'm thinking 350Z tranny is the way to go, the kit costs about $1850 though I don't think it includes everything you'll need. That's my plan down the road though.

 

YES! going hard as I can! I may even NA-T or swap the 300 soon!
I totally want to go with the 350Z, but I have not found anyone that can do it....... or a speed sensor solution for it. Do you know anyone reasonably near NYC?

 

I wish I knew someone I could recommend, but I'm out in Suffolk LI. My brother is who I'd do mine with, he's done plenty of tranny work, but I'm very far from a 5 speed swap. I need wheels, body kit, coils, etc... Plus my auto tranny is running fine, when it's showing sign of wear I'll get rid of it. Good luck though man I'm looking forward to your progress.

 

LOL... Good luck with waiting for that to happen. I don't think they just go bad on these cars. I've probably done over 3,000 hard neutral drops on my friend's 92 SC300 with well over 100k miles and no maintenance and we have yet to break it. Trust me, we tried.

 

I didn't think of that! I'm going to have a fun couple weeks with mine when I have a swap date set. It's perfect, but worth so little, I may as well beat on it for fun!

Biddles, I know..... It feels crazy to ****** out a PERFECT tranny. I just have 5 speed fever and two automatic Sc's. If I find a clean 5 speed, I'll leave them alone.
