possible uncracked center vent available
I realize off-site sales links are not permitted, but this could make someone in the Seattle, WA area really, really happy and I'd rather that someone be a CL member, so hopefully the mods will see fit to permit it.
Picture #7 shows what looks to be an uncracked center vent with wood trim. It's possible there's a small crack near the keyhole, but it's tough to say for sure. At any rate, it's only $10 and appears to be in much better condition than average.

Ooh, good thinking! I figured that would be the same as off-site linking, giving the new wording of the rules, but since I asked nice...
But, but, you could have two spares!
Bummer. Good thing I stressed "possible"... Still, very slight cracks can be fixed up to be barely noticeable, as is the case with my replacement vent. I JB Welded the hell out of the back side to keep it from cracking again in the future. Preventative medicine is essential on these fragile pieces.

I was thinking about doing this fix along time ago. I saw the DIY long process to get to the center vents and the fact it will crack again, due to the real wood surrounding the vents. Wood expands when it's hot and contracts when cold.

It's the plastic of the vent that's been attributed to heat/cold cycles, not the wood. The wood trim is the thinnest little veneer possible. I doubt there's enough material there to expand more than a hundredth of a millimeter, let alone put pressure on the plastic.

Then why do the side vents never crack? My 95' side vents haven't shown a crack in 20 years. The reason there is no wood around this plastic.

Disagree. 1) The side vents are much smaller, so less distance to suffer from lack of reinforcement, 2) the side vents are more shielded from the sun by the A pillars and gauge shroud, so significantly less severe heat cycling, and 3) I've seen plenty of them cracked.

We agree to disagree on this topic... So good luck, with the install of your new vents.
