18" rims, what do you think
Ok, If you look in my signature you will see the current 18" rims i have on my car. They are 18X8 with 245/40/18's on them. I just went turbo and need some wider back wheels to help me hook. I was thinking about these wheels and was wondering what everyone thought about them:
They are 18X8.5 in the front, and 18X9.5 in the back im going to do 255/40/18 in the front and 285/35/18 in the rear. They lip on the back rims are 3.1 inches and 2.4 in the front. Deep Dish
LOOK IN MY SIGNATURE, I WANT TO SELL THE RIMS, THEY ARE IN GREAT CONDITION, NEVER CURBED.
THEY ARE 18X8 WITH NITTO 555 TIRES ON THEM WITH LOTS OF TREAD LEFT.
IM ASKING $1200 WITH TIRES. THE TIRES ARE GREAT.
PM me if you are interested!!!!

Expect to recieve some harsh comments about the rim of your choice. Many people consider ADR as a cheap knock-off brand and I do agree that it is in some ways. However, if your budget is limited and all you need is a set of wheels to get you from home to work, I'd say go for it. I own a set of ADR rims and it has done a fine job of getting me through the pothole-infested roads of Michigan. I use my SC4 as a daily car and I can't afford to have curb rashes or bends on 4-5k wheels, espcially during the cold winter here. And from the picture, the wheel looks quite nice.

Get them, they look good, don't worry what people say about them being knock offs, they look great and they will make your car look good, also they with impove traction while not breaking the bank account..

...why is there any reason to buy a "reputable" rim? ....oh yeah name brands add 16rwhp.
I am not worried about one being bent or curbed because im really careful with potholes and curbs, so i see no reason to pay 2g's for some used rims, then have to buy tires

Don't listen to anyone but your gut feeling (and me)...
Plus... Look at it this way.. You can go get a Ducane BBQ grill for $1000.00 or you can go get a Weber that does the exact same thing and built better for $500.00
Its called mass production,
ADR is a branch off of another company that is HUGE, so theirfore they can build a wheel that looks and problably weighs the same as the wheels its trying to look like for half the price because ADR probably sells thousands more rims that the original designing manuf.
Just my opinion...

Take it from someone who just got some quality wheels after selling my cheap dubs, YOU WILL FEEL BETTER. Plus my new 20s are a whole helluva lot lighter than my old one, and with a turbo i know that performance matters to you.
Dont your current wheels come staggered? Maybe just get two new rears+2 tires used, and REALLY save $$$
Get what you want, what you like, and what you can afford. Good luck

I say get what you want! I have some ADR's on my ride I never had a problem with them yet. To be honest I usually don't buy cheap stuff when it comes to cars but I had more problems with my last wheels that were name brand. So I said I'll try ADR and they are doing great! Most people around here can careless what brand wheels you have, I stiil get stares from people when I fly buy.
