I'm a new owner of 2004 SC430, and new to the forum. Can anyone guide me to recommendations for front & rear shock replacement?

I just replaced the front struts/shocks on our 2002 SC430. Per others recommendation on this site, I ordered parts through https://www.megazip.net. Shipping from Japan was very fast. New struts made the car drive/handle much better.

I went with OEM rear struts and KYB aftermarket for the front struts on my 2004 SC430. My rear struts were bad but didn't show any signs of leaks, etc. Amazing improvement in ride handling/after replacement.

Is anyone aware of adjustable sport/road shocks for the SC430s? I want to keep the OEM Spring and Cage because I don't want the rattle of a full coil over. But want a strut response sportier than stock. I see Tein makes ones for the front, but can't find anyone selling for the rears... I know someone posted on the forums that the GS strut is the same size/shape but is like 1 inch too short. I think they preloaded the strut to fit the GS shock tube into the SC's cage.

Meister coilovers are an easy replacement. I am super happy with them. They are adjustable hardness so you can retain oem ride quality.
Everyone who has installed them love them

MeisterR coiloers are fantastic. Huge improvement in ride quality as well as handling. The owner of the company owns a sc430. Lots of reviews on here including mine.

I've read up on these in the past... Don't you have to rebuild coilovers after a certain mileage/time? Also I've seen in videos that coilovers can have some metal-to-metal sounds when going over bumps due to the lack of as many rubber connections.

At some point they'll wear out like any other shocks/springs, but thats usually a very long time. I don't know what you mean about the metal-to-metal sounds, as long as you don't dial the ride height in too low, they just act like a normal suspension. Be sure to replace any bushings that look worn/old while it's all apart.
On my MeisterR's you can adjust firmness/rebound as well on top of the shock body (most brands have this). I went with the recommendations the owner gave me when I asked him for a comfortable ride and was very pleased. If you want a harder, more aggressive suspension, you could dial that in, instead.
I don't know how many miles are on yours, but i was at 110k when I installed mine and the transformation was dramatic. Highly recommend, regardless of which brand you go with (at that quality/price point).
