Looking for help, this is partly my failure to take care of my only child..2006 86k miles.. CAR locked; battery dead; manual key does not work.. Lock Doc on the way. Intentional damage to my driver side door actuator when I provided my own NEW actuator to be installed.. could have been a dangerous situation.. same car shop also torqued my oil filter until it took a cheater bar to get it off .. stupid me went back.. and asked for more and they did.. ..is this situation possible without breaking out a window? I am 78 and can't do the work.. car will be sold when I get it fixed also radiator leaking.. cheap.. thanks for ANY help ..

Yes tried them all. When my actuator stopped working the manual key worked : I purchased rebuilt and took it to shop .. no warranty on work or part.. they installed and I did not check the manual key.. someone showed me that the key did not work.. I thought if the key battery failed I would be in trouble.. I never thought about the car battery locking the doors and stopping everything else.. Lock Doc is on the way if you have suggestions.. thanks..

Since the SC is frameless, you should be able to pry the glass cracked open on passenger side then use the coat hanger and hook it to the door handle. Not that difficult.

Tore up flyswatter, story of my life, it was too short. found stiff rigid wire and neighbor next door had a very thin rubber inflatable bag sandwiched with thin pieces of canvas.. insert bag under glass and pump with bicycle pump until wire moves freely into cabin..all told it took less than 30 minutes and no whacks or cracks. Saved me $70 already. Thanks .. soon as car hauler gets here going for radiator pink slime problem and battery.

Don't throw out the baby with the bathwater! Our SC's are normally very reliable with a few quirky exceptions, including the actuators and radiators. My 2008 with 65K miles has yet to require any repairs. My only long-term concern is the ECU's. As with all cars built in the age of electronics, the ECU capacitors are ticking time-bombs. The good news is there are companies who can replace the capacitors for a lower cost that buying a new ECU (assuming it's not discontinued).

Thank you Wilson2000. Thanks for giving me hope for a graceful outcome. I understand about opinions .. taking battery to parts store. next is radiator. Like many SC430 owners.. the car owns me.. it is my only child and top down transcends my problems. It has an art deco flavor.. and I was an art deco fan til I turned 'art deco fan-natic' ..Capacitors, I assume it all depends on mileage? I know people with over 200k miles and still goin on. May we all be so lucky .. I am forgetting my hard learned life lessons. I am Vietnam vet with 100% disability for agent orange exposure and the money helps. Thanks and I will relate what I encounter.
