Default Car hesitates

Hi everyone at club Lexus,
So I noticed very shortly after I bought my Lexus sc430 that every time I went up a steep hill that my car hesitated! Like even though I'm giving more gas it doesn't go any faster for at least 5 or 10 seconds and then when it does go it takes off like a bad out of hell! It wasn't too bad when I got it but its been over a year now and its gotten progressively worse. I also realized recently that it also does the same thing when I quickly put my foot on the gas all the way to the floor. It drives a lot better if I slowly increase the gas to speed up and when I'm driving on flat land. I have no idea what the problem is and I was hoping someone from club Lexus could help me please and thanks.

Mine did the same thing. Fixed it with a new MAF sensor. Toyota part on eBay for less than $25. Five minutes to change. Good luck

Disconnect the battery for 10 minutes and it will reset all the "learned Driving Settings" That will most likely get rid of the lag. There is another way to reset it with the gas pedal, but I don't recall the exact procedure

Reset the ECU. Easy:

1. Turn on the key but do not start the engine.

2. Floor the gas pedal.

3. Turn off the key.

Done.

Wellll. Too little info to really make any solid suggestions .
Do you have a service history on the car?
When were the spark plugs replaced ?
Are there any trouble codes showing
Have you tried any fuel additive (like Royal Purple Max Clean) to clean out the fuel injectors ?(its worked wonders on one of my Toyotas)
Have you had the MAF sensor cleaned? Use ONLY MAF cleaner and dont clean w q-tips, just spray. ( If you eventually decide to replace the MAF sensor, ONLY buy Denso parts. Dont buy on Ebay or even Amazon, Ive been burned w counterfeits in the past, only buy through Rockauto for OEM parts) Last MAF I purchased from Amazon lasted 12 months.

just a few suggestions , keep us posted.
