Yesterday my SC farted at me. Well it sounded like a long drawn out fart as the steering column extended when I got ready to drive. Didnr hear it the next time But I think this is a warning? Can I save it? My LS steering column is just stuck in one place but I am the only one driving it.

jimisbell,
The Car Care Nut shows how to replace a motor and lubricate the steering column on his LS430 (very similar to the SC430) in this video between ~40 minutes and 50 minutes.
. Hope this helps.

I had a similar issue a few years ago Jim and it turned out to be the flexible cowl above the column rubbing as it extended. I wiped the top of the column with some lubricant and it stopped and has never returned. May not be your problem, but worth a try.
