Default Running Rough

Hi All, We take the SC out once a week. It starts straight away whether hot or cold weather. It purrs like a kitten going for a cruise down the beach or other places like 10 to 15 miles distance. After stopping for about 1/2 or 1 hour for a walk and than time for home. It starts straight away and drives really well for the first 10 minutes or so but starts to run rough when stopped at the lights and has been doing it more than once. Would it be advisable to put a Fuel Injector Cleaner in the Tank seeing hat it's a weekender or could it be something else.
Thank You.
Chris......From OZ.

I think the injector cleaner is a good idea, it has "fixed" a couple of my cars.

Default Tried this successfully, IMO better than Techron

After seeing a video on this I tried this product, dont know if its available down under though.
Royal Purple Max Clean Fuel System Cleaner.
Ive got a 252k mile Toyota, fuel mileage dropped from 29 mpg consistently down to 24 mpg and tried Techron twice. no Change in mileage.
Tried Royal Purple and mileage came back to normal. No affiliation w this product. It works. Assuming you have a problem w dirty fuel injectors....a quick clean of your MAF sensor , using the correct product is another possibility for idle issues.
Keep us posted on your idle issue.

Our 2001 SC has done 170K Kilometers, or around 106K miles. I'll check the Air Filter and the MAF sensor first, as my Fuel tank is almost full so I'll wait till it's about down to a quarter to put the injector cleaner in before topping up, and then take it for an Italian tune up through the hills.
I'll see if Royal Purple is available, if not I'll ask for the best one around.
Than You......Chris From OZ.

I have used the Lucas cleaner with success, and I use Seafoam all the time in my small engines and my tractor. I just put a bottle STP cleaner in my truck, I've not used it before but familiar with the STP name.
