Hello everyone,

I am a new member to the board and am looking forward to our new SC 430. I'm trading in an M3 convertible which has been a blast to drive on the open road, but less fun toodling around town.

Could present SC owners come up with some things to check for when we pick up the car; I understand already that I should check for the tool kit that comes with the car. Any other pointers would be appreciated.

Other than reading your manuals and the FAQ section on top of the SC board, I'd make sure you know where your wheel-lock key is (if equipped), and check your fluids at home. My engine was overfilled by a quart of oil, and I had to suck it out. There's always something either under or overfilled. My tires were inflated to 40 psi too; put them down to the recommended 33. No need to inflate them more than that when they have sidewalls stiff as a rock to begin with.
Other than that, if your car was manufactured 9/03 or after (check sticker affixed to your door), you should have the door rattle issue resolved ('04s manufactured on 8/03, like mine, had to have a TSB done).
