Default 2004 sc430 CAI

Can anyone tell me what cold air intakes fit the 2004 model. I tried to order the weapon r dragon, but it's out of stock. Every other manufacturer only lists fitment for the 2001 to 2003 model ( what is different on the 2004?). Thanks.

your best bet would be to check one of the LEXUS OEM websites to check the part number, it will tell you what years it fits…

From what I have been reading on various threads. The Injen 2001-2003 has the same MAF sensor as the 2004 but you have to trim the engine cover a bit to clear the tube at the throttle end. Maybe that is the only reason they list it for 2001-2003....I'm guessing 🤔 the Injen instructions even include
connecting to the vacuum valve solenoid. Which the 2004 has, but some years don't. Anyways I don't see any other manufacturer having a CAI for the 2004.

There is no cold air intake for these cars, the injen one is just a hot air tube, you're sucking in hot air. Back in the day the srt intake at least had a shield and a tune piggy back. But just the injen isn't worth the money to suck in hot air.

Oh, I totally agree. These are not true cold air intakes, even if you shield them they will eventually heat soak after a good half hour of driving. I bored a 3 inch hole in my stock airbox about the same level that the stock air scoop enters the box, and opened up the headlight access port to 3 inches and ran silicone tubing around to a cone filter that sits in front of the radiator. So I had 2 air feeds. The MAF read 1.4 grams more air on my scan tool so it made a difference but now I want to delete the whole stock box and tubing and put in a direct feed from behind the front grill. Want an aftermarket intake because of the MAF air mount. So it will be a true cold air.
