Just curious, why the spacers? I have the same rims without any spacers.

I went another way. I noted a lot of newer cars are using black coated rims. As I prefer DOT rims that have been tested to pass those standards I picked up a set of rx350 rims from 2016-2019 that had been recoated with fairly high gloss powder coat.

my 08 pb is dark so I thought the dark would look good. I kept the plated 8” wide oem rims for a future collector or use.

i also kept the oem cassette radio/cd player for the same reason.

cannot remember seeing many new cars with bright rims.

My 08 . Took 15mm thick spacers as the front calipers were bigger than the rx.

i found this website to be the most helpful and informative to me even though i ended up staying with stock specs (245/40/18, 8, +45). the user enters tire width, profile, and diameter; and wheel width and offset, for existing and potential new setups.

the site then calculates and compares key stats side-by-side including diameter, circumference, poke, inset, speedo error, ride height gain, and arch gap loss (whatever that is). it also graphically depicts both scenarios on your axle. seems it would be especially helpful if you're considering deviating from the stock specs.

i thought it was so cool, i bookmarked the site!

i went from the oem silver alloys to the g spiders. i would have liked the tourmalines but they are twice the cost of the g spiders, at least around here.

So how would a 38 offset work on the SC?

here is a pic and hope it will clear it up a bit.

i selected the IS350 wheels because they were the same size as OEM and they are Toyota wheels.

every SC430 came with 18x8 with 45mm offset.
So, looking at this illustration, thanks by the way, is that a 45 negative or positive offset?

Hey TNSC430 -- very nice looking wheels.
Where did you get them and how long have you had them?

Hey guys,
Are the wheels in the attached link any good? They seem less expensive than most and that makes me wonder about quality, etc.

As you know I do not know a whole lot about these wheels, but looking at those it shows a +35 offset... will they fit?
Looks like all of the wheels on that page have the +35 offset.

I wouldn't take that gamble. If they don't fit it will be a nightmare returning them. Most likely a restocking fee.

The wheel is wider than stock and a different offset. Could lead to fitment issues. I would buy local and ask them to fit any different sized wheels on the car before you by.

Offset
35
Bolt Pattern
5x114.3
Rim Width
9

Ok, another question on this whole wheel change topic... TPMI sensors. From what I have seen the earlier versions, 2002-2005 Have some sort of "wheel specific" sensors or something, is that correct? I know I can get the sensors on my Dodge's replaced for about $70 each at my local shop, are these Lexus TPMI units going to be a pain to deal with? $$$
