Care and Maintenance for the Top
Hi,
Newbie here. Before my SC purchase I'd had a 335i for 4.5 years. Since I see there are top issues as a topic in the SC forum, I want to ask about preventive maintenance for the top. For the 3-series, there was a sticky on one of the Bimmer forums regarding care of the top. This was a DIY and was about the areas that might use grease, like hinges etc, and a product to keep the rubber parts from cracking. While the original idea was to keep the top in fine operating condition, I believe it was also to keep the top from sweaking. I did the maintenance every 2 years and it may have taken 15-20 minutes. I did a search and didn't find anything on the topic.
If you have done anything like this, could you please share what was done and products used?
Thanks,
Greg.
