I was at the hardware store today, and saw this when I came out:
I knew that tires were forthcoming, but I've got to pass an inspection in July, and I'm pretty certain this isn't gonna fly. The other side is nearly the same. I prolly could have gotten another 5-10k miles out of them had I been paying attention and rotating them...
So, looking around, I've decided on Michelin Pilot Sport AS4 245/40ZR18 97Y XL BSW UHP All Season Tire.
It looks like Costco has the best prices on the tires, but when I go to check out I get the big "THESE TIRES ARE NOT ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT ON YOUR CAR" alert. I'm guessing it's because these aren't run flats. The run flats are about $40 each more, and I don't want them anyway.
Are they gonna balk when it comes time to install these?
Where's the best (cheapest) place to buy TPMS senders? While I got the tires off I'll have them all changed.
I am also in Va. That tire should pass inspection. Mine looked just like that and it passed. My problem was the upper control arm was bad. (ball joint). I replaced both control arms at the same time. You have an 07 so the TPMS sensors can be had easily. Amazon or Rock Auto have them.
Chris I would go with the 245/45/18's not the 245/40/18's. better ride and I found it makes the spedo spot on. Costco will not put the 245/45/18's on for you as they are not original size. Look at Discount Tire.
