Default MAINT REQD Light

I have a 2010 SC 430 with 54K miles, Now, when I start the car the MAINT REQD light comes on and stays on. I have gone to the Maintenance window in the Info center and nothing shows up in red! What could the problem be? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

It's just for your 5,000 mi oil change interval. All Lexus/Toyotas do that. The maint screen in the infotainment don't change the cluster light. I forget the exact process. Change your trip computer to display ODO. then turn car off. Then while holding the trip+reset button turn to car to ACC. You should see ooooo in the odometer, hold for a few seconds until the ooooo's disappear, or it looks like it's done with the maint reset. Now you're good for another 5,000 miles.

Oh, and change your oil!

Did a Google on it! What you do is turn the key on to ACC, press and hold the TRIP/ODO reset button, turn the key off and then back on and after a couple of seconds the MAINT REQD dash light will go off. Oil and filter only have 1,500 miles on them and that is set in the maintenance info center so now I know what to do next time the dash light comes on and stays on. Thanks

Why are you posting how to reset the light when dan25man gave you the answer?

Why? Well, mainly because he said he wasn't sure of the exact process. I didn't see any 00000's on the odometer but it still reset and MAINT REQD light went off. Also, wanted to let him know that my oil didn't need changing!!

Remember, this is a 2010, it may be different for the 2010s.
