Default Tone after shutoff

Yesterday after I drove my car I got a a tone for about 30 seconds or so after closing the roof, turning off the car, removing the key and then opening the door. It was not a reminder type of chime, more like a warning tone. Since the car was off there was no lights on the dash except for the door open light. I drive the car nearly every day but this has not happened before. Any thoughts or ideas as to what might have happened?

There is a tone if you are driving and your roof is not locked firmly in place. However, if you are not moving, it should not sound.

That’s the odd part. I was parked and the car was off. The tone came on as I exiting the car.

What's happened if you close the door ( with you're still inside? Does the sound stop? Does the sound stop after 30 seconds regardless?

Sometimes I notice when I take my key out they car still thinks there is a key in the ignition. Like there's a switch in the tumbler that is stuck on. So I have to put the key back in and out again, and then the car think's it's fully off. Maybe thats it?

It hasn’t happened since. I’ll pay more attention to the circumstances going forward. I was surprised the first time so I wasn’t thinking about what I could do.
