Anybody know if the mast in our SC430 can be replaced, or if the entire assembly/motor must be replaced. It still works (for now), but won't go down all the way.
Thanks!

I had that problem. My mast got hit while up and the kink prevented it from fully retracting.
The mast itself cannot be replaced. You have to replace the entire motor unit and everything.
The unit cost me about $65 .00 and the labor to install was about $35.00.

Not a direct response, since tfischer took care of that, but just wanted to comment I wish the antenna was embedded in the windshield, even if reception was a bit poorer than with the current setup. The main problem is it towers way over the car, making it vulnerable to damage. On the other hand, $100 (installed) seems like a reasonable price.
Have a great week everybody.

Go get Sirius installed. You won't ever need your antenna again. I just unscrew my antenna and put it in the trunk. It usually gets left there unless I need to hear a bunch of commercials, then I just put it back on. I guess Lexus Link is why mine isn't power. Sirius is real nice. Too bad Lexus doesn't seem to understand that like almost every other car manufacturer (luxury or otherwise!!!). Oh well.
