SC430 scores best in JD power survey for fewest amount of problems .....only 44 problems recorded.
Here is the article:
Summary:
Checkered flag to Lexus
Among all manufacturers, the cleanest individual model, the Lexus SC 430, recorded the best score ever recorded by Power, just 44 problems per 100 vehicles. Lexus also came in first among all nameplates, although Power reported that for all Lexus models, quality had declined 14 percent.

This shows that, unlike Mercedes, complex does not HAVE to mean unreliable.
Same with the relatively complex All-Wheel-Drive Honda CRV....last year it was the most reliable vehicle in Consumer Reports' database, period.

I note your Lexus is much customized. Do you know of a Lexus dealer or independent shop in or near New Jersey what will install the Daizen roll bar kit on an SC430? I have the kit coming but the service people at my local dealer, Manhattan Lexus, turn pale at the idea of aftermarket parts !!!!!!

2004 J.D. Power & Associates Initial Quality Survey (IQS)
"PREMIUM LUXURY CAR"
(1) Lexus SC 430
(2) Lexus LS 430
(3) Cadillac XLR
Well, i think I'll go for a lakefront cruise in my top-ranked premium luxury car.

alfa, try going to www.tein.com
look for dealers in your area. Call and contact them. They usually do this kind of work and are quite knowledgeable about it.
Sways are a easy install...just make sure they grease those poly bushings. I have rubber bushings on my TRD and they need to be greased all the time. I think the daizen come with poly/hard plastic bushings....which are better and might need a little less grease.
I know a mechanic who works for midas who does this kind of work. He installed my sways for a pretty good price...and is in north west jersey.

As we all know, Lexus is on top again -- 10th year in a row:

I particularly like the last two paragraphs:
http://money.cnn.com/2004/06/29/pf/a...reut/index.htm
I particularly like the last two paragraphs:
Since their 1998 linkup with Chrysler, executives at Daimler have boasted about how Mercedes-Benz would show its poor American cousin how to build more dependable and desirable vehicles.
But Chrysler and its Dodge, Jeep and now-defunct Plymouth brands all out-ranked Mercedes, which had 327 problems per 100 vehicles, up from 318 problems in last year's survey
