Lexus introduces the SC430CH, a new vehicle developed along with the fashion design firm Carolina Herrera. Taking as a base the Lexus SC430, the sports convertible from lexus, CH has given the car her personal touch. For the exterior, the venezuelan designer decided to go for a new dark tone with red accent that she calls "testa di moro" which follows the colors used in the latest designs from her company. At the same time the rear drivers adquire a 'reder' tone, leaving behind the classic orange color <whatever they mean with that, but I believe it means that the color turns into a more red tone towards the rear>

Picture

In the inside, the new SC430CH comes with a new leather treatment of the same color, "testa di moro" used on the outside. Also the carpets have the same finish while the roof <inside liner> shows a new caramelized color. The wood around the interior have more red than usual and the chrome accents acquire a matte finish. The result is a convertible that picks up the characteristics of classic luxury cars but interpreted with comtemporary lines.

More pictures..

last paragraph just mentions general stuff from the sc430 yall know, the metal retractable roof, eficient v8 bla blah..

enjoy

It is different, and I guess that different would be the basis for the appeal . But if I were just to look at the Lexus L vs. that, I would take the L any day.

I saw a Neiman Marcus Edition on eBay listed for like $55k with the reserve not met. It was being offered by a Lexus dealership on the East Coast. The PB is even more exclusive than the Neiman Marcus, right?

I think you are wrong about the more exclusive Limited Edition.... I know for a fact that there were only 100 Neiman Marcus made. I think there were 200 (maybe 400) PB made. Maybe someone can check the number of PB for sure. I know it was more than the Neiman Marcus SC430 produced.

Those red bumper lights look like they're more reserved for the SUV pack like the RX, Sequoia, Highlander, etc., and also the Audi A6. May be light overkill on the SC considering the smaller rear exterior

I've noticed that those red bumper lights are on all the European SC430's I've seen. Maybe its some regulation thing they have over there.

. . . Lexus is keen to target affluent female buyers, and if the concept car receives a positive reception in image-conscious Madrid, will consider producing a limited edition for sale
According to the paragraph in my original post, they ' ve yet to decide producing this limited edition for sale anywhere.

BTW, I've heard from a post in another forum that there's a show featuring the Madrid Autoshow unveiling this SC430CH edition a few days ago on the Speed Channel. He didn't mention the exact name of the show in the post, but I'll see if I can find out. They may have replays for this program on this kind of channel. Anybody that regularly watch the Speed Channel have seen, or is aware of the show I'm talking about ?

I'm guessing the Euro-spec SC has rear fogs, which are two extra-bright red taillamps that can be switched on in fog so the car is more visible from behind. They're common in Europe, but I'm not sure they're permitted by USDOT regulations--I've never seen a US spec car with them.
