LED light bulb replacements
hi, do you guys know if the light bulbs in the back of the car for turning, stopping, parking lights are 1156 and 1157 equivalents? lexus manual lists diff. numbers....
i'm wandering if it could use the LED bulbs that are 1156 and 1157 single and dual element equivalent light bulbs that they sell now adays....
it would look brighter and turn ON/OFF with distinct clarity/timing....

I'm sure they are. The 2 drawbacks those LED lights have are they're only bright in the direction they're pointing (which is no problem for the SC's rear taillight design), and they draw very little current, sometimes triggering the 'burnt taillamp' dash light. This last could be a problem.
Please keep us posted if you succeed. I'd like instant-on taillights too

bulb change
well, opened the light assembly and turns out, lexus uses baseless plug in type bulb with 3 contacts for the stop light... not the round base type bulb i bought 1157.... neither does the yukon xl i tried to put it into.....
return and get the plug in type, and will try.... not sure if it would fit/go thru the opening....
