hot hot hot front seats
Has anyone had trouble with the front seats being very warm? Sometimes I think that the seat heaters have shorted out and are constantly heating the seats. I am thinking perhaps my body heat is reflecting off the heating elements and making the seats seem warmer. I noticed in a thread from several years ago that another gentleman was complaining about the hot seats.

So I am not the only one with this complaint!
I have ecru leather, so color apparently is not the issue. Granted , I live in FL and it IS hot here. I actually tried a terry cloth towel on the seat today to see if it is a problem with the leather "breathing". Not much relief. Any thoughts/suggestions/insights appreciated.

I agree. I have Ecru also and contacted Wet Okole about neoprene seat covers, but currently no patterns for the SC. Their seat covers works well down here in the swamps of South Louisiana (previous car 2000 Nassau blue vette convt. with black interior).

First, a possible solution.
Then my moot comment.
Whether it's a trip to the pool or after a workout, I'm sure I look like a contortionist trying to strategically place towels over my seats. I found the "Car Seat Vest" at www.SkyMall.com (item# 67892 ).
They're terry cloth, and come in 3 colors: black, tan, or grey. $29.50 each.
I may get a couple, if just for the moisture control.
Moot point alert.
Of all the cars Lexus makes, the SC430 should have been the one that got the perforated aniline leather with headed AND air-conditioned front seats! Given our long history with Lexus vehicles, I think most of us know where Lexus draws the line when it comes to features per model.
(I'd leave that to another thread, but personally I find it unnecessary. We're the enthusiasts -- we know what Lexus will & won't do.)
