Default Aftermarket Multimedia System

How hard would it be to replace the Mark Levingston system with an aftermarket in-dash DVD/LCD monitor or an mp3 player? I haven't seen any pictures of SC430s with anything other than the stock sound system. So if anyone out there has info or pics, please post them. It seems like a normal aftermarket cd player would not fit well and leave lots of gaps and openings. Also, could you replace the navigation system monitor with a tv monitor? Or would it be better just to leave it? Thanks

If you feel compelled to watch TV or DVD while driving, I'd recommend against it but I'm sure you'll find a solution here in the ClubLexus Audio/Video forum that uses the built in screen.
Well I've always wanted an in-dash LCD Monitor player. I understand it's pretty unsafe to watch TV while you drive and I don't plan on doing so. But I guess all I really want is an aftermarket cd player with mp3 capabilities. I've been using an mp3 player in my SLK and I don't think I can switch back to regular CDs. I'm not an audio expert but if I switched out the stock with an aftermarket head unit, would the sound quality degrade much?

i bought my sc knowing that i would not be able to mess with the sound system. even the guys at the stereo shop advised me not to mess with it.. its a great system but could use some dvd or mp3 action. i think there is a module that allows you to add dvd capabilities, however i wouldnt mess with somthing that to me is perfect in every aspect.
