How about from another angle?
Has anyone found vinyl on ANY part of the SC?
I don't think there is any.
I know the center console is leather. It has discolored a couple of times from moisture (no explanation of how that happened, but you can guess). A little cleaning & conditioning -- done.
Vinyl wouldn't discolor in the first place.
Lastly, I've never seen vinyl with the thickness & movement that the SC's interior has, much less the stitching.

Hey Antigeek, have you seen most BMWs? The ones without the leather package? I thought all had leather, until I bought one. They come standard with, get this, 'leatherette'. A fancy name for vinyl. If you look at it, it looks like leather man. Not fine one, but very few cars have fine leather anyway.
Having said that, there's a good amount of vinyl in our cars. The sides of the seats are vinyl (where the side airbags are located), as well as the sides of the seat cushions. All the center console is vinyl as well, except the top of the center console lid. So is the sides of the armrests; only the top portion (touching your arms) is leather. The sides of the head rests are vinyl as well (front portion that curves back is leather). The entire center portion of the rear seat is vinyl, as well as both headrests (withstand the sun better, I guess). Entire front surface of seats is leather, although side parts are lower quality. Most cars have those pieces in vinyl. Even Acuras. When those guys say 'leather seating surfaces', they mean it. Only what your butt touches (and a small butt man) is leather, it appears.
