actually a slight correct, the blue pearl was the 2003 PB edition, and the black diamond that's 2004 PB edition. the 2005 just came out not too long ago, the special edition isn't out yet

but anyway, thanks on the post count. i don't know, i just post when i feel like saying something plus i always feel that the sc430 forum could be a lot more active, i am trying my best hope you guys don't feel that i am BSing too much here

oh and the sc430? i still drive it a lot, together with the gs4 and is3

hahha, nah, i have had quite a few wrongs around here and there throughout time it's good to learn always

so i stand corrected. the azure pearl is 2004, and the black diamond is 2005. that means these cars came out before the normal sc430 of the same yr come out? the azure pearl came out in summer 2003, but it's 2004 model. and the normal 2004 sc430 didn't come out until late aug 2003. same with the black diamond, it came out june/july time frame 2004 as 2005, and the normal 05 didn't come out till around late aug. am i correct on this?

then how about the neiman marcus edition, when did it come out then? summer 2002? was it a 2002 or 2003 model then?

man all these things are so confusing

So what's the chance of finding a new black-diamond SC430 nowadays?
Or is there a new SC430 coming soon? As inferred by the making of this post?

chances are practically zero. all black diamonds sc430 they are special edition and there are only 600 of them made, and i am sure they are all sold out already. unless you use a body shop to paint a all new sc430 that color, that's probably no chance you can find one new

it seems like lexus will come up with special edition of sc430 every yr anyway, but if they again make one this yr, it's probably going to be different color i suppose

Yes I saw one in the local Lexus dealer & it's gone within a week, & that's the only one I've seen so far. I don't particularly miss it tho, I love the exterior but the red interior/carpet is

I talked my accountant into buying a Lexus and he ended up getting a 2002 Black on black SC430 with Nav and run flats and the ML audio system! He picks it up at the end of this month!! He has always been an MB fan and currently has an ML320, and I have been trying real hard to get him to jump ship.

Well he hasn't quite jumped ship completely, but it's a start! (He still has the ML).

Regarding the SC430 special edition, I still hope the dark brownish one with red-stitched leather shown in Madrid last year will be produced & made available here next year. It's my favorite one I've seen so far.

black on black is very nice man, that was our second choice of color combo but the black on red speciail edition that was something else
