Seriously though, the sc430 is sweet. I guess a lot of us just think it is too much of a departure from the 400/300 lineage....taking the sleekness out. I would have liked it better if it was called the c430 or gt430 (coupe or grand tourer). Sportcoupe, to me that means sleek sporty coupe. My wife loves it. I'm planning on getting the g35. She wants me to get the sc430. The Lexus is a better car but it's more expensive and not giving me what I want for the price. Sleekness and quickness. Plus, I'd have to mod the heck out of it to like it. The g35 only needs a set of wheels.

Again, sc430 is a sweet car. No question about that.
i know what you are talking about the name. naming the car sc430, makes people think it has anything to do with the old sc. but it's so different, the old one was sporty and what not, but this one is a complete cruiser, luxury, comfortable, cruiser. i guess that's why my wife loves it...

drove the g35 6 speed, it's very fast, though i kinda like the tq on the sc430 more. handling the g35 is definitely stiff and sporty i say it's a very very different car from the sc430

It's 9 model years buddy, count them:
1992
1993
1994
1995
1996
1997
1998
1999
2000
Didn't pay too much attention to high school math, huh? Just kidding.

I had a '95 SC400, and now an '04 SC430. The 430 is not the prettiest car in earth, but the SC3/4 look already dated, but the thing is 13 years old already. It looked gorgeous longer than any other car could, but things change. I really liked some features will never see again due to cost, like the complex door hinges and the hydraulic radiator fan, but the car looks odd now. I liked mine better than the 'grilled' one, but the reason I sold mine was the darn 4-sp transmission; the 5-sp is better (like on my ex-GS400), but the only way to get it was with the grille, so I'd choose it just for that. The GS also wasn't the prettiest car, but was nice. I never liked it too much, but needed a 4 door at the time.
Later.

I love the look and style of the SC430, because of its curvy and rounded lines.
It is soooo different to everything else out there, that's why I like it and retractable hard top convertible..........PRICELESS!!!!!

Really 10 model years when you take in consideration the sc430 model didn't start until 2002.

You got me Reggie. And no, I didn't pay too much attention in high school math.

But! Just because the 430 took an extra year to debut doesn't mean the 3/4 was actually 2001 model. So we'll keep it at 9 years.
