I just bought a new SC 430 (Black / Saddle interior) and love it. Though I've read the instructions on the persona; settings (for the seat position, mirrors, steering wheel, etc.), it doesn't seem to save my settings when I push and hold the "Set" button and then the "1" button. Am I doing something wrong, or did Lexus screw up and I need to take it in to get it fixed?
Thanks for the help.

So you guys don't read the manual? With so many electronic features on today's cars, that's the first thing I do.
What Lou described is correct, and you'll have to do it every time you disconnect the battery. And you have to do the same with the seatback to make the 'anti-slam' feature work, where the seat raises when it's about to hit the rear cushion (this is an '04+ feature). I didn't activate it because I'm barely comfortable with the seatback touching the rear cushion, but my memories work just fine.
Later.

Be careful to avoid confusing the "1" and "2" ("seat position") memories with the "Personal Settings" memory. Personal settings (the subject of the original question) can only be set by the dealer.

Went to Lexus and got this fixed, but I could have done it myself. You have to do the procedure described above to the passenger seat...which resets both fromt seats! I would never have guessed, and the manual doesn't state that. This is true at least on the '05 model.
