Sorry to bring this thread from the dead again.
I feel the same way as mr24 does with his CL. My CL500 also has been very temperamental and that's why I drive it less than 2k miles per year, fearing that I may get stranded on the side of the freeway and seeing the Lexus drivers pass by and laugh at me for buying a $$$ metal pile.
I have just bought a white 03' SC430 as a daily driver to replace my aging SC400. Hopefully the SC430 will bring back the smile on my face again. For now, I am putting the CL on probation and any mishap with it again, it's going to the penitentiary.
