May I ask you a question? I thought the $140K was the SL65 V12 Twin turbo. The SL 55 is the V8, right? Is it supercharged or normally aspirated? If yours is the V8, how much is the V12? Man, you have a mansion on wheels.

That's some serious dough for the 65 AMG; it's in Ferrari Modena territory.
Remember reading that the 55 was the better balanced of the 2 monsters, so you made the right decison. The 65 was supposedly too nose heavy, and without AWD, probably not quicker than yours. I don't particularly like superchargers myself due to their whine, but I suppose MB subdued that non-flattering sound.
And hey, I thought I was the low-mileage champion at 2,300 on my 16-month-old '04.
Have a great weekend everybody.
