Default 05' SC has different Suspension

Guys,

Just had a conversation with Sander at TWS regarding the suspension. It appears that the stock suspension on the 05' is different than the 04'. After contacting Tein, they do not have the CS application specifically for 05'. However, as most of you know I already had the Tein installed on my 05' SC and I do not have any issues at this point. For those of you who are buying a set of Tein or other coilover in the near future, it might be wise for you to wait until Tein confirms the compatibility of the 04' Tein using on the 05' SC. I just need to keep my fingers cross to make sure everything is okay.

P.S. TWS was able to fit those Teins right in without any issue. Therefore, if the entire construction or configuration has changed from 04 to 05, I wouldn't think they will fit at all.

haha mark, you didn't read enough just kidding

yes the 05 has different spring/shock part number from the 04. people believe that the difference is only in the stiffness and spring rate of the springs/shocks. mostly to compensate the harshness of the runflat

if it's just the spring rate and the shock dampening, then it's nothing to worry about the weight and design of the sc430 didn't change for 05

Hi, sorry to jump in. I am thinking of lowering my 02 SC. What is the main difference in lowering using Eibach and Tein? Which of this will not suffer ride comfort but still deliver in lowered look?
Thanks

Are you comparing Eibach springs with the Tein CS coilovers that is being discussed here? Aside from the price difference, the two are different animals. The Tein CS would be your best bet for loweing with minimal impact on ride comfort. You are also paying easily 4 times the price, though, if that is a concern.
