Default I took the plunge

Some claim it was a mid-life crisis, but I prefer to believe I’m just getting myself a birthday present since nobody offered to buy me one. So last night I got the 2005 SC430 in white and saddle. It should be here this week and ready for me to pick up over the weekend. The only thing that sucks is that I had to part with my 1990 Supra-Turbo. No room in the garage….I’ll miss her.

I’m new to this group so forgive me if I post something stupid. Any suggestions how to make my new toy more pleasurable? I don’t want to mod it at the moment, but I would welcome anything about proper care and feeding.

A few quick suggestions that come to mind right off the top are:

tint the windows
add the gold logos
put on the spinning hub caps
get the neon license plate frame
and that should about do it, unless you want to add foam dice, or maybe even the bumpernuts.

You are ready to rock.

Or, for a lot of us, the car is pretty nice the way it comes.

Welcome to the club.

I'm in the SF Bay Area, more specifically Castro Valley (East Bay). I visited a few dealers, and the one in Pleasanton was the most helpful, accommodating and willing to truly earn my business. Strange as it may sound, one of the dealers (in Redwood City) refused to talk about price with me unless I gave them a $1,000 deposit. Needless to say, I walked out.

Ha ha...too funny. The only item I opted for is the new style wheel covers until I find what I want. Humm...maybe I'll put a "Type-R" logo on it and a fart-can exhaust tips.

That's like asking a woman her age I will say that we spent a lot of quality time negotiating the price, and at the end, both parties were happy with the outcome.

Most importantly, my wife is still smiling. As you may know, there are only 5 words to remember in a happy relationship. "Yes dear, you are right" interchangeable with "Yes dear, I was wrong" And no, I'm not P-whipped....I can do anything she lets me.
