The SC430 is still a rare sight up here The market for an expensive luxury convertible here is not nearly as big. There's a white,a black & a silver that I occasionally see in the vicinity of my neighborhood, & I haven't seen a red one on the road yet anywhere, the only red one I' ve seen is in a showroom 3 years ago.
i have no doubt on that, i honestly think cali holds the biggest population of sc430 in the US, hands down. it's just insane. when you get so many damn rich people here with all the exotics and nice cars, having more sc430 here isn't surprising.

and especially in socal that is. here in norcal lives are pretty "normal" i say, you drive the sc430 and you occasionally run into your sisters and brothers. but in LA it's like madness.... you see them EVERYWHERE. i go to LA only for weekends, and as long as i am in the "right" area, i can pinpoint over 20 to 25 sc430 in one day. you see my point?

how exciting....

I bet it will be as fast as the 06 GS or maybe .1 seconds faster

I like all the new features addes...I am curious at how the LED taillights will work since the design is a bit strange for LED lights to fit.

well the 6 speed tranny setup brought the ls430 from 6.2 to 5.9 (03 to 04). if that's the case, the sc430 could be quite a bit faster

I'm really surprised that New York had so many convertible sales, since it's too cold to put the top down during the winter (and probably too hot and humid for large portions of the summer). I love having my SC here in SoCal -- where you can put the top down almost 9 months a year.

It's been raining so much in California that I hear that they may have to postpone the start of fire season.

It would have been nice if they showed percentage of convertibles versus car population for each city/area shown.

Absolute number is interesting, but knowing the data behind the feeling that "it seems like every other car in LA is a convertible" would be better.

No info yet, but I suppose sometime soon in the summer. They're going to launch the facelifted SC430 officially as a Lexus in Japan in August too, but the SC icon on lexus .jp is not clickable yet as of now.
