Pic of Phone Buttons
Shawn - here is a picture of the phone buttons. There are 14 pictures I need to take of the Navigation Manual (two pages each pic) to provide you info on the bluetooth/phone operation for the 2006 model. I'd like to know if it changed at all in subsequent years, but from comments I've read, it seems not.
Cheers,
Rich

That's great! Thank you so much. And I appreciate the manual pages when you find time. Can you voice dial via these buttons? Either say a contact name like, "Call John," or literally dial numbers via voice command, "Dial 312-...."? What about text messages? Does the system read text messages aloud, display them on the screen, or anything else? Thanks again. Man, I gotta find someone around me that has a 2006 to check how this system works and if it's worth finding the hardware. Can't imagine where the bluetooth module can be located... Hpppf.

Shawn, I took 15 pictures of the pages within the Navigation Manual that covers Bluetooth Phone and Voice Command Navigation. Is the best way to share them one picture per post (x 15)? Used my phone to take the pics and they are about 2mb per.

I just purchased a 2003 SC430 and a previous owner had installed a Pioneer AVH4200NEX radio system. It has Bluetooth with it but I am having problems with trying to get the key pad to dial a number, and get the Contacts (which seem limited somehow) to scroll down without having one of their kick on and dialing the phone.
Having just found out that I had to update the Navigation system by having Lexus update it for about $170, I now wonder if the Bluetooth has to be updated as well to get the key pad to work? Does anyone have any information about that?
I guess I was silly to think that the entire system would have been checked out when I purchased it from the Lexus Dealer.
