New owner of a 2002 SC 430. The previous owner replaced the run flats and there is no spare. I want to carry a tire pump but I also have auto service through my insurance. Can anyone recommend what the desireable PSI specs would be for a pump or a specific brand pump you are using that is stores well in the trunk and works well? Thanks.

i purchased a nice kit, which has a "high pressure" pump and a bottle of slime
in a zippered case. i still worry though, sometimes when you have lost the air
in a tire its very hard to reseat the tire to the rim without a lot of high pressure
air. not sure this little pump will work when you have a total flat and by the time
you pull over the rim is sitting on the tire. got the kit at pep boys.

I doubt if you will find a portable 12V DC pump with a high enough CFM rating to reseat a tire. I suggest you check your tire pressure sensors to be sure they're working at every tire rotation and then stop immediately if you set one off. Also get a good, sturdy plugging kit. Many of those packages have tools that are not sufficiently rugged to repair a high performance tire.
By the way, if by slime you mean sealer instead of leak detector, be aware that if you use it you will destroy the tire pressure sensor and perhaps the tire too.
