I recently had my Dunlop runflats mounted on new rims: 18x8 SSR GT7-Hs ("Competition Silver' semi-solid forged wheels, purchased from Tire Rack). The mounting and balancing was done at my Lexus dealer. When I drive the car on the highway (65 mph), within 15 min three of the four tires lose pressure and the tire sensors go off. For example, today after 15 min on the highway one tire was at 37, but the others lost pressure to 10, 10, and 25. However, other times (daily city driving at 30-45 mph for 20-40 min at a time), three tires hold pressure fine and one leaks at ca. 3 lbs per week. The first time I returned to the Lexus dealer (a few weeks ago) they were unable to identify what the problem was. Tire Rack tells me that they have sold this tire/wheel combination for many SC430s and never heard of a problem before. It seems to me that the problem is developing when the tires heat up. Any ideas, suggestions?

The Dealer' service department is still working on the problem but believes that the leak is occurring at the tire stem where the pressure sensors are installed. I'm interested in information and other people's experiences with regard to problems with the installation of the runflat tire pressure sensors on non-Lexus wheels.
