The last post by "Lexus R us" implies that the exterior/interior colors on the yet to be pictured 2006 Lexus SC430 SPECIAL ("Pebble Beach"?) EDITION are silver with a "Pimento" red leather interior. Can anyone confirm this information by poster "Lexus R us" with particulars and photo(s), if available?

A Google search for a 2006 "SPECIAL EDITION" this date (June 12) was negative.

But what i really want is if SC makes flint mica, which is like charcol gray with the red interior. that will look really nice. like Ferrari F430 spyder pics you see on recent car magazines. oh and i got the 2005 pebble beach when they first came out. i got it for $60980 because the internet manager didn't know you can't cut deal for pebble beach. although one of her boss was mad but i still got my car. the normal SC she gave me an awesome deal, for around $59800.
you got one hell of a deal for sure. defnitely good that you got discount on the pb edition!

it's just never here in the US

Default SC 430 coach edition?

just curious what year was the first pebble beach sc430? i know last year was the blue silver, don't know what the color was called but my friend's boss has one. is there more pebble beach editon before that year??! I am suprise they don't just use the "coach editon" for sc 430 'cause they had that for RX 300 and it was nice

I think that bluish silver is the first pebble beach edition, the only other special edition before that is the Neiman Marcus I think.

Correct.

The "Azure Pearl" (sky blue metallic) is the exterior color for the introduction of the "Pebble Beach Edition" ( for model year 2004). I bought mine in mid-Sept., 2003 for the full MSRP "sticker" price. Only 400 units were manufactured, all for the USA.

The 2005 PBE (600 units) has a "Black Diamond" (metallic black) exterior with a "Pimento Red" interior.

I now understand that the color(s) of a NEW 2006 PBE (if any) is unknown at this time.

Default Love the new taillights!

I've been waiting for them to design better-looking taillights! I think that these look SO much better than the ones on my '02.

If anyone does a GB on new taillights, definitely count me in. Hopefully, LMW can figure out the wiring for us.

the wiring shouldn't be hard at all, it's not rocket science. more than likely it's just the different sockets. if you splice the wires i think it will work pretty easily. people with ls430 are doing that already

Our lease for the MB E500 is up this Sept, I'm holding my breath for the new '06 SC430 coming out then guess what just happen'd, my wife's MB E500 got flooded Thu here in Houston...(long story) . Water got in the engine and bent the rod (only a rod ???) It cost $22K to fix it and insurance company will take care of that. ANyhow, I went to Lexus and spend almost 2 hours for '05 SC430 and this is what I get, (the car has no additional option).
2-year lease, 15K mile, $40K residual = $1,509 per month.
3-year lease,15K mile, $36K residual = $1,235 per month.

* 1/ The payments sound way too high, right?
* 2/ Also, when the lease is up in 2 or 3 years. Is it true that the dealer ship HAVE TO re-sell us the car at the price of the residual?....I won't buy it after my lease be over..
* 3/ what I know about neg. is that we want the sell price as low as possible and the residual as high as posible, that's how negotiations work, right?
>>> HELP<<<

2fast, sorry to hear about your flooded MB.

(1) that payment is outrageous. i have an 04 (basically same as 05) that i leased 3yrs 15k/yr. the payment is $899, and driveoff was about $1500 (my sec deposit waived; repeat customer)

(2) most leasing companies you are not obligated to buy the car at lease-end, not sure who you are using on the lease.

(3) usually it is more difficult to neg on the residual, a lot of leasing companies have these guides for dictating the % of residual. some companies there is some room for neg there, but your best bet is to get the lowest price possible. here in so Cal you can get it for 58-59k.

hope that helps, and good luck w/ your SC search.
