Hi - thanks, I definetly thought about doing this, Parrot support says that
their microphone is extremely directional to the point of recommended that
it be pointed directly at your mouth. Because they do some amount of
noise cancellation in hardware I'm inclined to stick with theirs. Won't
have time till late next week to mess with this, unfortunately, but I do
hope to at least try some others.
I think you mean 3.5mm plug RCA's are used for component connection,
and 2.5mm's aren't seen much outside of cell phone earpieces (and
tape recorder remotes from the 1980s).
Take care.

Well ... the metal tip of the plugs on all my old phone car kit microphones are all 2.5 mm - I measured with calipers. Here is an example of a "universal microphone" on Froogle: http://www.cellularaccessory.com/unimic.html
Of course your Parrot could be different!

Hey, just found this excellent thread. There is a now a specific plug and play harness to install the Parrot kit without cutting into the harness - see here: www.parrotkits.com

I emailed them 4 week ago and never received a response. No response to me=no business. That goes with anyone I deal with. I care less of the remote top-only the simple close/open function.
