I, too, am interested in the upcoming 2006 Lexus SC430, paticularly new color combinations, other changes and the latest "Pebble Beach Edition". However, I checked above Web site and was unable to locate your citation. Does anyone have anything to add and/or the specific cite at Autospies.com?

what i can tell you so far:
- true on headlights
- true on grille
- true on bumper
- true on taillihgts
- true on shift plate (coz' of 6 speed)
- true on tranny
- true on wheels

not sure about power, it would be a pretty dump move especially the gs430 still has 300hp. if it becomes only 288, that would be one reason for me NOT to worry about the 06

and it would be nice to have all the new interior and extrerior colors and combo

oh and the dash cluster is new design too

I agree, there's no way they would decrease hp , all the rest make sense.

I love all of the modifications Lexus is making, but I am also in the camp that they can only increase HP. Not that the SC is the heaviest car out there, but you still need to push around a lot of weight. Maybe 288 is an SC 300? Or SC350. Maybe that is in the works.

Plus isn't an all new 5.0 supposed to be out in a few years...

According to "veryme" in the initial post to this thread, the new exterior colors for the 2006 Lexus SC 430 will be "mercury metallic (1F2)", "matador red mica (3R1)", "chardonnay pearl (4S7)", "black pearl" and "tiger(s) eye pearl". You can view the first three colors, already in use for the 2006 GS430 at:

That leaves "black pearl" and most significantly, the rumored paint for the 2006 SC 430 "Pebble Beach Edition"--"tiger(s) eye pearl/mica" (4T2).

As noted earlier, a recent check with DuPont automotive paints has no record of this color code 4T2 at this time. I, for one, would be very interested in viewing a color chip for this "tiger(s) eye" color.

4T2...hhmmm...here's a hint for you: typically any color code with a "4" in the front is in the beige or gold family.

Yes, brown, bronze, anything in the "earthtone" family starts with a "4".

Hey! The Carolina Herrera car. I wondered what happened to that car, they were supposed to have that car instead of the other Pebble Beach last year. Yeah, maybe that will be the "Tiger Eye Pearl" (or whatever it is called). This should be interesting. If it's a brownish color with bronzy/coppery "flint" speckles in it, then I do think we should have a winner. YAY!

(It's fun to speculate, isn't it?)

Even the expresso "dark brown" wood trim mentioned in the original post matches those in the pictures in my link

A hybrid color combination version reminiscent of the Carolina Herrara (Madrid Auto Show) Edition makes much sense for the 2006 SC 430 "Pebble Beach Edition" (PBE). If you google "tigers eye", you will find that aside from the eyes of the namesake Asian carnivore, it's a BROWN gemstone laced with GOLD.

Until and until proven otherwise, I envision a chocolate brown laced with "gold" mica. Add the espresso walnut and camel leather upholstery. A black/dark headliner also makes sense. Such a design may include gold rather than chrome badging. Personally, I would probably opt for standard chrome.

If this is true, this would definitely be my SECOND choice to the original 2004 "Azure Pearl" (sky blue metallic) PBE with black birdseye maple wood and the high maintenance "ecru" leather. While (metallic) black is always elegant, I loathe the "Pimento Red" interior of the 2005 PBE.

According to my local Lexus dealer, there should be confirmation no later than Monday, July 11th.

oK you guys ,, today i went to Lexus (Here in Kuwait) and well i asked them when is it coming ? colors ? interior ? will the price change ,, ?? here are the answers

When ? September - October

colors ? Well they showed me 3 papers ( the 1st) page had the exterior color ,, and there was a new color PREMIUM BROWN its FANTASTIC !!!!!!!!!!!! i reserved it right away!

the 2nd page had ONLY 3 INTERIOR COLORS .. YES CAMEL LEATHER was there BUT SADDLE TAN (As the sales woman told me) is replaced with this new color.

3rd page just some info about the changes ,, head lamps , tail lights , tire rings BUT nothing in the interior ,, there was something that said BLUETOOTH something but i quickly skipped it. ummmm thats all.

Price is still the same ,, nothing new ,, she told me i should pay about 500 KD to reserve a car which is about 1600 USD i agreed loool ( this payment will be part of the whole car price ,, so no harm done)

and my choice was ? well Premium Brown with Aucra or something like that (which is the white learther interior with the orangish wood)

i can go back there and ask for more stuff if you guys are interested!
