Power is lacking, automatic transmission/throttle-by-wire someout slow to respond and seating is flat with no side bolstering. My first automatic...the SC screams for a six speed manual. Moved to Lexus after 3 vettes in a row (1986, 1995, 2000) due to poor roads of S. Louisiana. Excellent sport coupe and nice daily driver, It just lacks a sports car soul.

Also, for you and everyone else, what color did you go with? My favorite colors are black or silver exterior, any suggestions?

I know it's not a "sports car". That was a consideration when I bought it. Call it Sports coupe or GT, it's turned out not to be what I wanted. Purchased from Northside Lexus in Houston. Was dealership executive's car, Indigo/Ecru. Bargained for a month, paid cash which trumped others who were seeking financing. Included "Lexus Link" (which I used to negotiate down) and non-run flats (which I wanted). Price included shipping. Attempted to order new 2004 in August, '04, but Lexus dropped the black interior with Indigo. Since I couldn't get what I wanted new, I researched used and found this on E-bay. Called dealership directly, had relative check it out, played hardball and did OK.

I got mine from Chicago b/c I had to have blue w/ black interior. In San Diego I can have the top down any day but I dont much cuz Ive got a shaved head and it's too hot. I love it though! I like having the small back seat because my english bulldog sits perfectly back there, chicks dig it.
The other cars I compared were:
Cadilac convertable--ugly
BMW M3- rag top is crap
MB- too pricey
Everyone told me the SC was an old persons car but I didnt listen, now that I have 20''s on there I feel good about my purchase.
I just need spacers for my rims and a wald kit and I will be loving my car to death. Maybe a subwoofer in the back seat would be nice for more bass?
