Color preference
If you were to choose between a black or silver exterior, any preference? My thinking is NOTHING looks as good as black when it's clean, but silver looks nice, and requires MUCH less maintenance in the cleaning department.

Nothing as beautiful as a shiny Black car.
Black with proper detailing and a Good Grips OXO duster
can be eazy to maintain.
Run the Duster over it every morning (1-2 minintes). It's
a habit like brushing your teeth every morning.
Quick Detailer Spray and Microfiber cloth when needed.
Polish and wax or sealant 2 times a year (DYI or Pro).
You wil be happy.
Good detailing supplies are a must for any color.

I agree, nothing looks better than black when its clean. However, every time I've owned a black car I've sworn I'd never own another. I'm pretty good about cleaning the first year but then I get lazy. I'd get the silver. Just try not to look at that beautiful, shiny black SC on the showroom floor.

Don't get lazy brush your teeth dust your black car every morning.
If it's really dusty go to a coin car wash and just use the spot free rinse
to soap no high presure. Then hit the interstate and drive as fast as you
dare to dry it off. It works

At night, my "Azure Pearl" (silvery sky blue metallic)"
"Pebble Beach Edition" can easily be mistaken for silver. I could not be more pleased with my exterior color. Many onlookers seem to agree. Hands down, with the choices as provided, I choose SILVER.
According to studies by automotive paint manufacturer DuPont, I am not alone. Silver is clearly the first choice for autos, particularly luxury autos throughout the world.

Silver here
Silver and black interior. That's the most beautiful car when the top is down... Oh, that's my car color combo.
Seriously, black does looks really nice too, but I love my silver car a little more and that's just me and my wife.

Both black and silver are great colours on the SC430. My personal preference is silver. On cars like the SC430, Millenium Silver is an almost timeless colour - the lines of the car show up very well, the car doesn't seem to age as quickly, and you don't get tired of looking at it (think "boring"). On the other hand, I've seen some gorgeous black SC430s; especially those with polished chrome wheels! However, black is high maintenance; and if not maintained properly, will show imperfections (nicks, swirls, and scratches) like an aging starlet.
