That seems VERY reasonable! Which company are you with? Do you have a multiple car discount?

Good to know... also just curious, what were the runners up, in your car choice, before getting the SC,
Also, how much more rough of a ride do the 20's provide?

20's are actually less rough since you wont have crappy run flats anymore. I lowered my car and got 20's and my ride is smoother than before- I couldnt beleive it at first. Have fun!

I pay a little less than $1100 a year full coverage. I'm 25 but have not had an accident or ticket in about 9 years (knock on wood). I use Wawanesa insurance which sounds kinda iffy but its the top rated insurance (based on % of complaints) in California. I've used them for a few years now but haven't filed a claim and hopefully I won't have to.

scroll down to Studies reports and publications...click on consumer complaint study...click auto insurance towards the bottom.

performance, sad to say but i think lexus will come last. 996 wins hands down, with 6 in the second, and the sl500 3rd (but kinda close to sc430).
however, in terms of the luxury feel, the comfort, the lexus is simply amazing. the sc430 is the quietest of all by a big margin (even with that top). the ride is very smooth (thus the bad handling) compared to other car, although the runflats degraded it a bit. the sound system is just terrific, i am still amazed.
interior styling i like the sl the most, and the sc430 second. the 996 and the 6 interior, i don't have much feeling about.
and built quality, i dont' think even need to go into that. the sc430 is new, full warranty. the 6 when they first came out they had tons of problems. the sl500 is a shop car from what i heard, and you end up driving the c class loaner very often (at least the 2 friends i know). and the 996, after a while you start to have the usual mantainance issues.
so after judging everything, the sc430 became the choice for us. the big thing to us is quality. as nice as a car could be, if i have to bring it back to dealerships often, forget it.
and in terms of insurance, i think they are about the same. the sc430 might be a bit lower but when you pay over 60k for a car, those insurance numbers really shrink to nothing

The scoring system is region-specific and these numbers were pulled for central Texas (Austin).

I think a Ford Taurus gets a 16 and a Camry gets a 17 if memory serves me correct just to show you all where the numbers float around.

At any rate, what do you pay for your wife's SC every 6months with Farmers?
