sattelite radio, we don't see them "standard" on the 06 gs and is, so i am not sure......
for 07, personally i still don't think it's going to be that different. i have seen the ls460 in person, the engine design is completely different from teh current one. all the way from intake etc.... so i am not sure if lexus is going to go through the trouble to put that engine in the current sc chassis and in another yr or two they come out with the new design (by 2008 this car has been around for 7 yrs anyway)

Wow did you like the New LS?
I guess a new engine is likely out of the question until a new body type comes out, but I was hoping that maybe a version of the LS 430's Smart Access could be added, and maybe some other convenience features.
But the SC 430 is fantastic as it is.

you are right about the smart access and keyless start, etc... with the 06 engine and tranny upgrades they could have done that. i don't know why they didn't huh?

XM radio should definitely be an option at least. It's disappointing that the IS has vehicle options with more horsepower and high tech goodies than the SC. I love the SC, but they need to do more to it than just change head/tail lights and color options. The LX has been around forever, and it has evolved with many of the high tech features offered on other Lexus models.

I have read quite some comments about the on/off button.
But in all fairness - I think this button is completly useless. What's wrong with turning the key just that little extra distance?
Even if you have the keyless entry system I still like the idea to have a mechanical key to start the engine and not a keyless authentication to start.
Did anyone ever parked near a strong antenna? (Fire brigade, police station, construction company or a remote controled crane?) With the keyless system the changes that you need a tow away is there - with my 'classical' key I just drive away.
Over here in Europe we do have our challenges with keyless systems and interferences. My Audi got towed as well as the MB and the BMW in the family. Only our SC needed never a tow. So its the best failproofen system to drive.
Not all what is makeable is at the end a benefit to me.

well, with the keyless setup, i don't even have to take my key out of my pocket or suitcase in order to open the door or start the car. that has to be a big improvement i say. it's almost like the invention of remote keyless entry yrs ago where people don't have to use the key to mechanically open the doors.
about starting the car, i don't kno about germany, but i have yet to hear people with a lot of problems here in the US with their keyless systems. imho if there is an antenna around you so strong to affect your key, that gotta be a some damn strong field going on? how's your cell phones?!
