i don't understand why LS and GS have all the high tech gadgets but SC doesn't:
rear parking camera, smart key access, on/off button,
and also, is the white gold crystal color the same as all white from before

i know what you mean, somethign to keep you coming back
but the smart key access and on/off button is just too important, it's on every nice convertible car aroundt he same price range and not being on the sc430 is a big BIG turnoff for a car of this caliber

2. Good question about smart key
3. The LS did gain smart key but not the on/off button. When the LExus is redesigned from the ground up, it will gain it.
Hope this helps.

what do you mean when Lexus redesigns the whole thing,
they just redesigned the front of the car tho, when do you expect another major change to the SC,

It is difficult to compare new and newly redesigned models. Lexus seems to be putting the new stuff into each newly redesigned models. It makes sense that they are not trying to shoehorn new tech into cars that were not built for it. Lexus may still do it (and that would be great) but I can understand why they do not.

I had a friend put it in, and I don't know how long he took, but I suspect that it was more than a couple of hours. It was somewhat involved in that the speaker needed to be in the passenger compartment. He put the "brain" somewhere hidden in the trunk. He had to remove quite a bit of stuff (rear seats, door panels, etc.) to do a invisible install.
