Yes ... her SC is white (she won't have anything *but* white. So, you saw three white SCs with paint problems and she saw one. I wonder if there's a problem with the paint line at their factory. I never saw any append in this forum regarding this problem on a white car before and plenty of folks have white SCs.

My first white sc was an 05. it was damaged in shipping. It had the hood and front end painted and was not disclosed to me nor my dealer. I noticed about a month later. They replaced that with an 06 even trade. When i went to pick up the 06 I noticed paint defects on the trunk. Sure enough it was repainted too. However this one was repainted at the factory so no disclosure required. The third sc was all original.

I know there is a problem with the way the white ones get painted!

Do a search for a thread i started a few months back called "Paint Question" and you will learn my story

I'm glad it worked out. You can't go wrong with a new 06

Shows you how interested Lexus Corporate is in maintaining brand image and high customer satisfaction. With their solution they have satisfied a long time Lexus customer, who in future years will likely buy yet another Lexus or two or three. That's how these guys think; a mindset foreigh to Detroit.

That is in stark contrast to the myopic dealer who's focused on the immediate money from this one customer transaction. I would have gone to Lexus Corporate early on because only they can force dealer to make it right.

Glad it worked out for you!!!
