to be honest, i think 1300 is nothing for a set of tein cs, considering the price of the car. i am not being cocky, i am just speaking the truth. it's worth it. my philosophy is always "do it once and do it right". ask people here, they know i have been saying that
I agree. It's a small price for such a critical component of the car. It's just we were going to get some motorcycles, but that can wait.

Any other full coilover owners out there? speak up!

I'll take some pics of the wheels when they come in tomorrow. Might need some help with the stupid TPS issues.

If you do shorter springs wouldn't you have issues with a short spring and a long shock? I thought you had to use a shorter shock as well.

you should, otherwise the shock is always in some sort of compressed mode, that's a lot of stress

Got the Work VS-XX 19" on today.

Obviously it's in some serious need of suspension mods.

How much are the teins? I was really hoping to find a spring strut combo because I probably won't be doing much adjusting of damper or ride height once besides the initial dialiing in.

I just got Coilovers for my WRX and I know my gf would kill me if her car rode anything like mine.

Thanks Jeff. Any pics of your car?

Theres some pics of it in the gallery under my screen name...but once you've seen one white wald sc430 you've seen them all...haha

Jeff

In the Subaru world, Many complain about the teins being "clangy". It might have been an older design. Do you guys experience anything like this? What about rusting?

at lesat the current tein cs they are aluminum, so they don't rust. the new ones coming they are probably steal though

and clangy? what do you mean?

I think the tophats were just metal, so it was a metal on metal clangy when going over bumps and such. I know Teins are a good name in suspension, I just know there were some concerns since they make so many different applications now and also a lot of entry level suspension sets.

ah i see what you mean, the pillow mount right? well, my old flex on the gs was a bit noisy, yes, but the tein cs on my gs4 and sc430 are very quiet so far, i have never heard any noise from them in fact

Sounds like everyone has nothing but good things to say about the teins. I haven't heard much feedback about any other setups though.
