Default 19 x 10 wheels with no body kits

I am pretty close to ordering the Amistad type R ( just trying to get them over the border to Canada). I was obviously going with the same set up as Mark. Those 3 white SC's look amazing together. However I don't have and don't think I will get a body kit and I don't think I will be lowering either. So if I put the 19 x 10 at +24offset in the rear, do you think it will look like they are sticking out to much at the bottom of the fenders infront and behind the wheels. The SC's fenders really taper in from top to bottom and the body kits give that extra few inches of width at the bottom tucking in the wheels. What I am afraid of is if you stand behind the car at one of the corners will the wheels look wider than the car sticking out? I hate a car that looks like it's on steroids..

Maybe I should go with an offset of + 35 instead of +24 like Carlo.

Thanks,
Mario

i don'i think it will look bad in terms of sticking out. with the car higher yes the TOP part of the wheel will stick out more (compard to lower), but the lower part (the part that touches the gnd) should be pretty much the same.

without body kits that's fine, but without lowering, honestly i think it's going to look a bit funny

and personally i would choose 24 over 35. 11mm is a lot of space there

As long as you don't do too aggressive offset, you will be fine

I have Maid (Maya) GR5 19x9 in the front w/ +26 offset & 19x10.5 in the rear w/ +29 offset.

I really like the way it looks. I think it looks perfect.

The only thing is I think Maya rims are over priced.

That does look really good. Has your car been lowered?

Nope not yet. I am debating if I should or not and even if I do, I don't know if I should just go with springs or get the whole suspension system. It seems like most members in this forum has the whole suspension system.

You should lower it, it looks too high and a little funny IMHO. Does it go off road or something? J/K!

I vote on lowering it It won't change the overall ride quality but will change the overall look of the SC It would look great if it was lowered.... A real eye catcher even more than it is now... Good Luck,,,

I know I should lower it but I do not want to spend over a grand. I was thinking about using Tein H-Tech but most member on this forum does not recomend it. They are recomending the whole suspension systems.

Thats why I am debating.

You're a mystery to me. You're driving a 60k car but complain that the wheels you bought are over priced. Now you say it's too expensive to get the proper suspension. No one is making you mod your car...drive it stock. You have to pay to play.

I already spent too much on both of my cars. Now I have to watch my budget.

Thousand bucks here, thousand bucks there really adds up plus I also have Z to play with.

haha i know what you mean. it's definitely not easy, it's money after all. just make sure you get something you like and make sure you do it once and do it right. otherwise you end up spending even more
