I just read on www.lexus.com the Final Drive Raito
is 376:1 on 2006 SC430. I thought our cars had a
326:1 ratio. is this a misprint? If this is true why only
1/10 increase in 0-60 time?
Inquring minds want to know.
Look at this page under Drivetrain

I believe it is accurate. The performance may be affected by the 12hp and 8tq reduction in engine output. Not certain why the power drop, must be emission/efficiency related.

the power reduction has nothing to do with the engine or whatever, it's just due to the new SAE standards..... that causes all lexus vehicles to have less hp and tq
joe you aer right about our gear ratio, it's 3.26. but on the 06 they got the 6 speed tranny so the rear gear ratio has to be changed for performance i suppose.
now that i think about it, too bad it's not 3.76 with lsd, otherwise that would be a good swap
