The NM car is almost silver with a red leather interior. It's lighter, not darker. There was only 100 of those made and only in the NM Christmas catalog. The first one was given to a charity so only 99 were up for sale. You had to call a 800 number and reserve one. Then they sent the car to the dealership closest to you. I've never actually seen one in person, but I would like to because I remember drooling over that catalog!

OOPS! My bad.
It's slightly darker in silver color than MSM. Like maybe they put on a couple coats of color on top of one another to give it more sheen. I think it was called Silver Bell? Lexus Bell? Dang it, memory is starting to go......

Definitely don't like the 'poo poo mica' color. Don't like the wheels, the chrome strip in front, or the extra slats on the grille. Taillights look weird. The only thing I like a bit better is the headlights, but wouldn't even pay $500 to replace them (hardly noticeable, and would cost an arm and a leg to replace anyway).
The ecru with dark wood looks like crap IMHO, so I'm happy to have a 'classic' Bird's eye maple with my ecru. The worst interior color was the orange (oops, saddle), and the new camel is a big improvement, including the wood color, but doesn't compliment most exterior colors. Best use of the Bird's eye maple would have been in black, which I still don't like with the current wood color.
Bottom line, not worth trading just for a 6-sp auto, with meager performance gains. Good day.

i would've paid that money for the azure sky blue, that is a beautiful color. but for now i am happy with the 6500 discount for the 04 indigo.

I saw the 2006 "Tigereye Pearl" PBE today. It's chocolate brown. Under bright sunlight, the highlights appear as a dark bronze. The camel or light tan leather upholstery requires as much maintenance as the ecru or ivory of the "Azure Pearl" 2004 PBE.
I never did like the "Pimento Red" leather on the 2005 "Black Diamond" PBE.
In my opinion, the "Azure Pearl" 2004 PBE is my clear favorite for color.
